1. Read the Bible.

Make God’s Word a part of your daily schedule this school year. Do you have a plan to read the Bible?

Read individually — and also consider reading the Bible with your family or a friend.

Maybe try one of the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John) – they tell the story of Jesus. Or start in Genesis, the first book. You could choose a letter to a church, like Philippians, or consider reading the poetry of Psalms.

(And here are some Bible reading tips.)

2. Attend church.

While you’re re-setting your morning alarms, schedule one for Sunday morning too. Spend Sundays with a local church!

You’re always welcome at TCC. We meet at 10 on Sunday mornings at The Shop Event Venue, 1585 S.E. 58th Ave. Learn more here.

3. Rest.

As your calendar fills up with concerts and games and teacher meetings and field trips, are you intentionally designating any downtime?

Incorporate a rhythm of rest into your weekly schedule. We weren’t created for nonstop busyness. Make time to breathe, pray, and enjoy all that God has done for you.

TCC will host our annual Back-to-School Night from on Monday, August 11, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Tradewind Elementary School, 4300 S. Williams St.! We'll have free backpacks, food, games, and giveaways! Find details here.
