Four Things to do Before TCC's Preview Worship Services

Come to church with us!

TCC has planned three more preview Sunday worship services planned before beginning weekly worship services on September 8. We’ll gather at 10 a.m. on June 16, July 21, and August 18 at Tradewind Elementary School, 4300 S. Williams St.

We’ve written previously about what to expect from TCC’s Sunday gatherings (here). But here are four things to do before you arrive:

Pray.

Would you pray that everything about these preview worship services would glorify God? Pray that Jesus and His Gospel would be on full display through the songs, the Bible readings, the prayers, the preaching, the kids ministry teaching, and the before- and after-service conversations. Pray that all of us who attend would hear the Gospel without distraction and respond to it in repentance, belief, and obedience.

Read I Thessalonians.

TCC’s summer sermon series is called “Hey Church.” It’s a three-part series from I Thessalonians. I Thessalonians is a five-chapter letter in the New Testament written to a new church plant in the first century. You can read the entire book in about 15 minutes. TCC encourages you to read it before you come; you’ll be better prepared to listen and engage with the sermon.

(Want to read more? To know the story of how the church at Thessalonica was started, check out Acts 17:1-9.)

Register your kids.

Your children matter at TCC — there’s a place just for them at these preview worship services! The littlest kids will be welcomed to our nursery area for the entire worship service. Preschool-aged children will gather in TCC’s preschool area. Children in kindergarten through fifth grade will be invited to TCC’s elementary area halfway through the worship service.

You can register your kids into TCC’s check-in system online here. Registering before you arrive will make the check-in process smoother for your family. Learn more about TCC Kids here.

Invite someone.

Who could you bring with you to church on June 16, July 21, and August 18? A neighbor or co-worker? A longtime friend or a family member? Maybe you need to invite the waiter or waitress or the convenience store clerk? The cafetorium at Tradewind Elementary School on Sunday mornings is for everyone. So, before you show up, extend an invitation to someone else!
