God, remind me today —
When now the house is empty. When the festive vibes have gone. When the preoccupations of life — bills and parenting and deadlines and emails — resume. When weariness weighs on my heart.
Remind me today that Christmas is Good News for me still.
That Your arrival, Jesus, means —
I am not alone; You are ever with me (Psalm 23:4).
There is fullness of joy in Your presence (Psalm 16:11).
You care for me, so I can give all my burdens to You (1 Peter 5:7).
I am upheld by You, sustained by You, kept endlessly by You (Isaiah 41:10).
Christmas is not an emotion. It’s a glorious reality.
God, You came to us. Jesus, You “made Your blessings flow far as the curse is found.” Holy Spirit, You are still with us.
Amen.
